Why this blog?

There is a bit of a story behind the Free Zap Nuggets blog.

Those who know me well will be aware that helping people reach their full potential is one of my passions.  For several years now, as I have come across interesting articles on the web, I have shared these with co-workers and colleagues.

Most articles would fit under the generic category of ‘self improvement’ or maybe even ‘personal empowerment’.  One of my criteria for sharing an article has been a “5-minute read”; in other words, it must be fairly short and easily digested by the reader.

Free Zap Nuggets allows me to extend my previous efforts.  Now, when I find stuff that fits my definition of ‘nugget’, I will summarise or comment on the topic, and provide a link to the source (or sources).  I still intend that most nuggets will fit into the ‘self improvement’ or ‘personal empowerment’ category.  And, I will also try to stick with my “5-minute read” criteria.

My definition of a nugget is:  “A piece of wisdom or knowledge that helps to inform, empower, motivate, or inspire”.
